Traditional Chinese Medicine

I hold a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from the Universidad Europeo del Atlantico, having completed a comprehensive 4-year full-time course in Barcelona. With a background in psychotherapy, I specialise in utilising TCM to address emotional imbalances.

In my practice, I focus on integrating TCM principles to effectively treat a range of emotional and psychological problems. Anxiety, depression, mood fluctuations, PMS, feelings of sadness, but also physical manifestations such as erectile dysfunction and insomnia can all be viewed through the lens of TCM's concept of Yin and Yang imbalances.

Holding in mind the interconnectedness of mind and body, many symptoms, whether primarily physical or emotional, stem from underlying imbalances that affect both aspects of our well-being. By conducting a thorough assessment, including pulse diagnosis and tongue examination, I tailor herbal formulas and acupuncture treatments to address these psycho-emotional symptoms at their root.

Whether you're struggling with stress, insomnia, or any other emotional challenge, my goal is to provide comprehensive care that not only alleviates symptoms but also promotes long-term balance and well-being. Through the synergy of TCM and psychotherapy, I strive to empower my clients by addressing both physical and emotional challenges.

Herbal Formulas

In my private practice near Earls Court, I only provide TCM Herbal consultations. This is often offered alongside psychotherapy but can also stand alone as a TCM herbal consultation. A few days after the session I will send you an email with the suggested TCM herbal formula for you, and a link with where to order it.

TCM herbal formulas have been used for centuries to treat a wide range of health conditions and promote overall well-being. They are typically comprised of a combination of herbs to address specific patterns of disharmony in the body.

These formulas are based on the principles of TCM, which include concepts such as Yin Yang balance, the Five Elements theory, and the flow of Qi (vital energy) and blood within the body.

The goal of TCM herbal formulas is to restore balance and harmony to the body by addressing both the symptoms and underlying causes of illness.

Acupuncture

Treatment with acupuncture, cupping and tuina, I only provide from my home in Twickenham.

Acupuncture is a key component of TCM that involves the insertion of thin sterile needles into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow, balance Qi, and promote healing. The needles are typically left in place for 20-30 minutes while the patient rests comfortably.

According to TCM theory, illness and pain occur when Qi flow is blocked or imbalanced. Acupuncture aims to restore balance and harmony by stimulating specific points along the meridians to regulate the flow of Qi.

Other acupuncture techniques that I use are acupressure (applying pressure to acupuncture points), cupping (placing suction cups on the skin) and tuina (Chinese massage).
